Project Overview

Our client wanted to create an iOS design for their on-demand handyman services project. We initially started with iOS app design, but gradually the client handed over the complete development project to us. We were assigned the tasks of website development, native iOS app development, and native Android app development for the project called ‘Tap A Tradie.’ Additionally, we handled Salesforce development and the marketing of the project. In addition to providing development services, we also offer support and maintenance services for this handyman services project, which is similar to UrbanClap.

Goals & Objectives

  1. Build an on-demand handyman services platform similar to UrbanClap.
  2. Manage the complete project from a single place.
  3. Address the communication gap the client was experiencing with different freelancers working on the project.
  4. Provide service seekers across Australia, including Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, and more, with certified professionals at budget-friendly pricing.
  5. Enable tradesmen like electricians, plumbers, laborers, lawn mowers, painters, and more to find additional leads and jobs to earn extra income.

The Challenges

The major challenge with the Tap A Tradie project was updating the previously written code to meet the client’s requirements. Since freelance professionals from around the world had previously worked on the project, there were different teams with different codes involved. Updating and merging that code proved to be the most difficult task for our team of tech experts.

The Solution

Before we started working on the project, overcoming the challenges it posed to our tech professionals was a critical question. Our development team conducted thorough research and spent hours brainstorming, drawing upon their immense experience, technical expertise, and knowledge. They devised a foolproof solution: creating an entirely new code for the project to give it a fresh and modern look and feel.
