Project Overview

Our client wanted to develop a social media app that allows end users to connect with people they know personally. Users can send connection requests and share notes, audio, video, photos, and letters with their loved ones on a secure platform. The social networking app saves shared memories forever on a secure server and allows users to download them at nominal charges whenever required.

Goals & Objectives

  1. Enabling app users to save memories of their loved ones forever.
  2. Connecting with only the people they know personally.
  3. Sending connection requests and sharing notes, letters, audio, video, and photos.
  4. Allowing users to create an account for their child and share details when they are young.
  5. Providing the ease of downloading memories of loved ones from a secure server at nominal charges.

The Challenges

The main challenge in developing Eternal Love Letter was to create a highly secure social media app that enables users to set nominees for their accounts and allows them to download memories of their family members, whether deceased or no longer with the family.

The Solution

To overcome the challenge of maintaining app platform security while allowing assigned nominees to access accounts and download memories on behalf of a deceased family member, we implemented multi-factor authentication requiring input from at least three family members to unlock and download the data of the deceased user.
