Project Overview

Nike wanted a digital solution to understand regional sports participation and evaluate product performance among audiences. Our solution was the Nike MFS PlayKit, a web-based platform for surveys, student data management, and performance assessments.

By partnering with schools and stakeholders, the platform gathers insights on student interests, helping Nike identify demand patterns, refine marketing strategies, reduce ad spend, and promote the right products in the right regions.

Project Challenges

During the development of the Nike MFS PlayKit, our team faced a few challenges:
  1. Managing large-scale data sets collected from diverse regions with high accuracy and consistency.
  2. Processing and visualizing data instantly, where graphs had to be generated within milliseconds for a seamless user experience.
  3. Implementing advanced visualization in the form of spider charts that mapped student performance across different body areas, such as head, legs, body, and arms.

Solutions

Our development team tackled the challenges with smart engineering and a focus on performance.
  1. We implemented Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) to manage massive data sets seamlessly. This ensured secure storage, smooth retrieval, and reliable handling of student sports data across multiple regions.
  2. We applied advanced data indexing techniques to fine-tune the database. This allowed the platform to generate detailed graphs and spider-chart visualizations within milliseconds, delivering a real-time experience for users.
“We wanted a digital solution to capture and analyze regional sports data effectively. After reviewing JPLoft’s strong portfolio and discussing our vision, we were confident they could deliver. The result was the Nike MFS PlayKit, a seamless platform that provided real-time insights, improved targeting, and helped us connect with young athletes across regions”

Our Development Approach

The Nike MFS PlayKit was built through a structured process combining UI/UX design, agile development, and testing. We ensured smooth data handling, fast visuals, and a user-friendly workflow. The steps included:
